Chinese experts affiliated with the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) are warning of war and saying China can defend its territory, even as the Trump administration doubled down on its vow to stop China from acquiring any more territory in the South China Sea.

Other pundits echoed the same opinion, and emphasized the tactical advantages China enjoys in the South China Sea.
« The islands with airports that we have built in the area are ‘unsinkable aircraft carriers’ and compare to U. S. aircraft carriers, they have more advantage to some extent, » according to Major General Luo Yuan, a vice president with the China Strategic Culture Promotion Association.
