Super Mario Run was announced during the September iPhone 7 launch as the first mobile Mario game. Originally available as an App Store exclusive, as of 23 March it’s also available for Android. Super Mario Run is also being updated to version 2.0 today, which adds new playable characters and players who complete one of Bowser’s challenges in the free version will unlock Worlds 1-4. It’s finally happened; Mario is coming to your smartphone. “In the game, Mario runs forward on his own, but relies on the touch of a single finger to jump over obstacles, avoid pesky enemies and capture the flag pole to complete levels,” said Nintendo. See also: Best Android games.
