It was only a matter of time before YouTube would begin offering more paid content. YouTube TV will be an alluring offering that will provide live and on-demand TV service with DVR capabilities.
Lots of companies have been eyeing the streaming market, but licensing content has become too costly and ineffective when trying to swoon new viewers to a particular service. A majority of players have shifted away from traditional content and have bolstered their brand with their own original content. Although YouTube is a monster when it comes to streaming, it hasn’t really made many moves to offer paid content to its viewers. The streaming service will now begin to offer live and on-demand streaming TV service.
The service will be called ‘YouTube TV’ and will give users access to up to 40 networks and Red content.
