The Huawei Watch is a little over two years old but is still being supported with an update to Android Wear 2.0. An early report promised Android Pay but that prospect has now been shut down.
It has been close to two years since the Huawei Watch made its debut. Since that time, the watch has been updated and even gained an additional feature, thanks to the activation of its previously dormant speaker , that enabled users to take calls on the wrist. While there was a bit of excitement over the past 24 hours with news that the watch could gain Android Pay functionality, that report has now been countered, with a confirmation from Huawei that states that the watch will not support mobile payments.
