While Microsoft announced today that the vast majority of Windows phones won’t get the Creators Update, it also confirmed that those on the Release Preview ring will continue to receive updates.
If you’re a Windows phone user, Microsoft announced some disappointing news today. Along with the release of Windows 10 Mobile build 15204, it confirmed that only a small subset of phones will receive the Creators Update.
Luckily, there’s a bit of a silver lining here, as the handsets that are being dropped from support will still be able to continue to receive updates via the Windows Insider Program. In fact, while build 15063 is only available for the Slow ring on phones at the moment, when it does come to Release Preview, all previously supported devices will get it.
And that’s exactly how you can continue to receive cumulative updates.
