Microsoft has now launched Flow for OneDrive For Business to create automated workflows between your favorite apps and services to get notifications, synchronize files, collect data and more.
Just over a year ago, Microsoft announced a new tool called Flow aimed at automating business workflows in a similar fashion compared to that provided by IFTTT (‘If This Then That’) . Ultimately, it launched in November as part of Office 365 and has since landed on iOS and Android before finally making its way onto Windows phones in beta form and then Windows 10 Mobile last month.
Although Flow has been available to Office 365 users for some time now, Microsoft has now launched Flow for OneDrive For Business.
Microsoft says that users will now have the ability to launch Flow directly from OneDrive for First Release customers and it will arrive for all tenants over the next few months.
The press release further explains:
Office 365 Admins can sign into the Flow administration site right now without the need for any additional licenses, to set up rules that determine how data can flow between different Office 365 components such as SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Yammer and other Microsoft and third party services.
Microsoft Flow integration will be rolled out to customers in the First Release program over the month of May, and “based on telemetry and feedback”, Microsoft will continue to roll it out to all customers.
