The artistry of origami, the traditional Japanese paper sculpting, comes alive at the Morton Arboretum’s Origami in the Garden. The exhibition of 25 imaginative metal sculptures was created by Santa Fe-based artists Kevin and Jennifer Box. This is the first time the Origami in the Garden has appeared in the Chicago area. Sculptures include white bison, painted ponies, cranes, and a never-before-seen bronze squirrel and two acorns inspired by The Morton Arboretum. The sculptures will be on display daily from May 19 – October 22,2017. During the opening weekend of Origami in the Garden, guests can experience Japanese culture through taiko drumming, traditional dance, interactive origami demonstrations, and arts and crafts. You can see Origami in the Garden up close with regular Morton Arboretum admission.
