President Obama warned Trump against hiring Michael Flynn back in November: report

Former Obama officials say Trump was warned to be wary of Flynn — but Trump thought it was just a joke
In November, former President Barack Obama warned current President Donald Trump about bringing on Michael Flynn as his national security adviser, to CNN. Obama delivered the warning personally, during their in the Oval Office. The Trump administration clearly did not adhere to that tip and hired Flynn anyway, only to fire him 24 days into his presidency. Flynn openly supported Trump during his time on the campaign trail, but was fired after he was caught lying to Mike Pence about his contacts with Russian Ambassador to the U. S. Sergey Kislyak. One senior Trump official that Obama had made it clear to Trump that he was “not a fan of Michael Flynn.” Another official suggested he thought the comment may have been made in a humorous manner. But three former Obama officials all agreed that Trump had been warned not to hire Flynn, and that he was not suitable for post of that magnitude. The story breaks shortly before former acting Attorney General Sally Yates will testify on Monday before Congress “about the concerns she expressed to Trump administration officials about Flynn’s contacts with Russian officials, namely with Kislyak, ” CNN reported.
