June 22 (UPI) — French fitness blogger and Instagram model Rebecca Burger died when she was struck by an exploding whipped cream dispenser, her family said.
Burger, 32, died when a pressurized whipped cream container “exploded and struck Rebecca’s thorax, resulting in her death, ” the family wrote on her Instagram account. Their comments included a warning about defective whipped cream containers.
French media said that she died of cardiac arrest in a hospital near Galfingue, France, on Sunday after receiving medical treatment at her home on Saturday, the BBC reported Thursday.
The manufacturer of the product, Ard’Time, announced a recall after reports the container’s plastic top could explode.
Burger’s Instagram account, which offered her thoughts on health and fitness, has 157,000 followers. Her final image was posted five days ago.
