Sony’s Xperia Touch is a compact Android 7.0 device that projects its interface onto any flat surface, creating a 23-inch touch-sensitive display – but it promises just one hour of battery life.
In February, Sony unveiled the Xperia Touch, an Android 7.0 Nougat device that projects its interface onto any flat surface, creating a 23-inch, touch-sensitive, high-definition display. The Xperia Touch can also project onto walls at sizes up to 80 inches, with gesture support to help users interact with the device at that scale.
Earlier this month, Sony announced that the device would $1,700 in the United States. Now, the company has launched it in several European markets:

The Xperia Touch runs Android 7.0 Nougat, and its key specs include:
Unfortunately, while the Xperia Touch is certainly portable, thanks to its small proportions, its battery life is similarly tiny – so it will likely spend much of its time connected to a power outlet. The device promises just “one hour usage in continuous playback mode”, but Sony says that its battery life “may vary depending on app usage and other conditions.” Sony told Neowin earlier this year that it was working on significant improvements to its battery performance, which could see it last up to four hours.
