Teen accused of killing former high school football player

The teen will be charged as an adult.
ATLANTA — A 16-year-old will be charged as an adult after authorities say he fatally shot one man and injured another.
According to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened Friday, August 18, on Ivy Brook Drive in Dallas, Ga.
Tommy Robinson, 18, was shot and killed. Timothy Nelson, also 18, was shot in the leg and is recovering, according to sheriff’s officials.
On Thursday, August 24, Darnell Isaiah Priester was taken into custody at his mother’s house. He’s charged with felony murder, four counts of aggravated assault and a count of aggravated battery.
Priester is being held without bond at Rome Youth Detention Center.
Robinson was a 2017 graduate of Paulding County High, and was on the school’s football team according to the team’s Twitter account.
