While appearing on British network Channel 4 on Wednesday, Jennifer Lawrence shared her thoughts on the wave of natural disasters creating chaos in the United States and beyond.
The “Mother” star suggested that Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma are signs of Mother Nature’s “wrath” over Donald Trump’s presidency which, she noted, has broadened the platform for climate change deniers.
“You know, it’s the new language that’s forming. I don’t even recognize it. It’s also scary to know that climate change is due to human activity, and we continue to ignore it, and the only voice that we really have is through voting, ” she said.
Lawrence said during the appearance there was “an end-of-days feeling, ” globally.
“You know, you’re watching these hurricanes now, and it’s really hard, especially while promoting this movie, not to feel Mother Nature’s rage and wrath.”
The actress has been outspoken in her disdain for Trump, 71, and the rhetoric his election to office has given rise to.
In August she joined in with other Twitter and Facebook users in exposing neo-Nazis and white supremacists after the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Va.

Lawrence posted a message to her 16 million followers, asking that they help to identify men and women who attended the hate-fueled event that left one woman dead.
“These are the faces of hate. Look closely and post anyone you find, ” she wrote, sharing a picture of a group of marchers carrying tiki torches and flags with swastikas.
“You can’t hide with the internet you pathetic cowards!”
Immediately after Trump’s election she sent a hopeful message to her fans in a Vice essay. She urged women to remain positive and continue fighting.
“We’re all allowed to be sad that the present isn’t what we thought it was. But we mustn’t be defeated. We will keep educating ourselves and working twice as hard as the man next to us because we know now that it is not fair. It is not fair in the workplace, so you make it impossible to fail. And like Hillary (Clinton) , it might not work, ” she wrote.
