A stone monument has been unveiled near a levee that collapsed 2 years ago on the Kinugawa River, north of Tokyo.
A stone monument has been unveiled near a levee that collapsed 2 years ago on the Kinugawa River, north of Tokyo.
The rain-swollen river burst its banks, killing 3 people and flooding nearly 10,000 homes in Joso City.
6 others later died because of the disaster.
The one-meter monument has been put up in the Kami-Misaka district, where 8 homes were washed away.
About 150 people attended the unveiling ceremony on Sunday.
