Cheap laptop deals of the week
HP 255 G5: Take a look through our other deals this week and you might think there are cheaper laptops with 4GB of memory out there (and there are) , but this one is worth a look as it comes with a 128GB solid state drive (SSD) , which the cheaper laptops on this page can’t match. So if speed over size is a must, this is a speedy bargain at just £314.99 @ Tesco.
Asus Chromebook C300SA: This super cheap Chromebook laptop is ideal if you just need the bare essentials from a 13.3-inch laptop. A bit of web browsing and document editing for example. Note: this is running the Chrome OS, rather than Windows. Now only £199.99 @ John Lewis
Asus Chromebook C300SA: If you can spend a bit more compared to the cheap laptop deal above, then this Chromebook comes with double the memory and will multitask much better. As it’s a Chromebook, it uses the Chrome OS instead of Windows. If you’re already a Chrome fan using Gmail, Google Docs and the like this looks very tidy at just £273.97 @ Laptops Direct
Asus C100PA Chromebook: If you’d like your Chromebook to also function as a tablet via the touchscreen then this 10-inch model is a very tidy bargain. It only has 16GGB of storage, but that’s plenty for documents and photos. It also has 4GB of memory, which is double that usually found in most cheap Chromebooks. Take a look for just £199.99 @ Currys.
Acer Chromebook: Unlike the white Chromebook above, you’re getting a bigger 4GB of RAM along with a slightly bigger screen in full HD. We’re liking the gold finish here too (don’t judge us) . Can you be tempted for just £219.99 @ Argos?
HP 250 G5: The HP 250 series of laptops are excellent for day-to-day activities and multitasking. The i5 processor, 8GB RAM and 1TB hard drive are more than most users will ever need for work, web browsing and catching up on Netflix. A great laptop deal at £429.98 @ ebuyer.
Acer Aspire: This Acer laptop is brand new and comes with 8GB of RAM, a speedy 256GB SSD (Solid State Drive) and a red paint job for a reasonable asking price. You can grab it now from Argos for £429.99.
HP 14-inch Intel Celeron 4GB 1TB laptop: Here’s a value-packed laptop deal from Argos available in red, white or black. Not only is the price cut for this decent machine with an Intel Celeron processor, 4GB RAM and 1TB hard drive, but you also get a subscription to McAfee Internet Security and a carry case (see image above) . All for just £279.99.
Lenovo IdeaPad 320s: A slightly smaller 14-inch laptop than the deal above, but if you’re after a faster hard drive, then you could be tempted by the 128GB SSD here. If capacity over speed is your thing, then the 1TB option will cost you less than this laptop deal at £349 at Currys.
HP 14 Inch Intel i3 8GB 2TB laptop: This cheap laptop comes with a carry case and McAfee security package. You’re also getting some serious spec, namely 8GB of RAM and a whopping 2TB hard drive. This excellent laptop deal is available in white, red or black for just £399.99 @ Argos.
Lenovo Ideapad 710s: Lenovo has knocked £250 off the powerful i7 Lenovo Ideapad 710s, making it way cheaper than the nearest rivals at AO, Amazon and John Lewis. In additional to that i7 processor, you’re getting a 256GB SSD and 8GB of LPDDR3 memory. When clicking through, click ‘View Models’ and it’s the i7 option on the right you’re after for just £699.99 @ Lenovo. Note: use voucher code TEST47 to get this price.
Asus C201PA Chromebook: If you’re happy to say goodbye to Windows and take advantage of the very capable Google/Android ecosystem services for basic laptop needs this 11.6-inch Chromebook comes with a 13-hour battery life. Save an additional £20 this week as it’s only £191.66 at Amazon
ASUS C100PA Chromebook Flip: This 10.1-inch Chromebook Flip is a versatile 2-in-1 cheap laptop. Compared to the deal above you’re getting 4GB of RAM instead, which should provide a notable boost in performance, plus you’re getting added functionality thanks to the touchscreen on this Android laptop hybrid. This was a decent deal last week and it’s now £80 cheaper. Not bad at all for just £199.99 at Amazon.
Asus ZenBook UX390UA-GS064T: This is the silver and gold version of the popular Zenbook 3 series. You’re also getting a super fast 16GB of RAM and an i7 processor. Considering Currys is still charging £1299, we think this is worth a look at just £994.41 at Amazon.
