TORONTO — Even Dame Judi Dench occasionally has idle fingers.
Dench offers that she learns a new word each day.
Ali Fazal, who plays her Indian teacher, jumps in. “She owns a fidget spinner. Judi Dench owns a fidget spinner! It’s the coolest damn thing.” Nonplussed, Dench reaches into her purse. “My grandson gave it to me, ” she says.

“I don’t have a fidget spinner, Judi, ” the Indian star says.
“I do, ” she shrugged royally, extracting a miniature spinner from her eyeglass case.
