GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Authorities have identified a woman killed in a two-vehicle crash earlier this week on M-57 near Rockford.
Agnes Huizinga, 76, of Grand Rapids, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, when her vehicle was struck by a semi-truck.
Police were dispatched to the crash shortly before 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of 14 Mile Road (M-57) and Northland Drive NE in Courtland Township.
Investigators determined that Huizinga’s 2013 Chevy Traverse was westbound on M-57 when it attempted to make a left turn onto Northland Drive. Police said she failed to yield to an eastbound semi, which struck her vehicle.
The driver of the semi-truck was not injured, police said.
