Ruiz is expected to make his second straight start at right guard.
COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Michigan could have two key cogs back on offense today.
Right guard Michael Onwenu and wide receiver Grant Perry are dressed and participated in pre-game warmups ahead of the Wolverines’ game at Maryland (3:30 p.m., BTN).
Both players sat out Michigan’s 33-10 win over Minnesota last week. Whether they play today, however, remains to be seen. Cesar Ruiz is taking reps with the starters at right guard, despite a pre-game list of Michigan’s starters having Onwenu starting.
That list has Kekoa Crawford and Donovan Peoples-Jones at wide receiver, and Eddie McDoom in the slot. Crawford did not make the trip.
Tight end Tyrone Wheatley, Jr. — also absent last week — is dressed.
Meanwhile, Michigan (7-2,4-2 Big Ten) appears to be without senior running back Ty Isaac for a second straight week. True freshman receiver Nico Collins is also absent after exiting last week’s game with an undisclosed injury.
More pre-game notes:
— Michigan traveled with three quarterbacks: starter Brandon Peters, fifth-year senior John O’Korn and Alex Malzone.
— True freshman wide receiver Nico Collins, who exited last week’s win over Minnesota with an undisclosed injury, did not participate in pre-game warmups. It’s unclear whether he traveled with the team.
