A man was arrested for hurling a bottle through the rear windshield of a police car in Midtown Sunday — and charged with vandalizing three other department vehicle in recent days.
Bakary Camara, 38, allegedly chucked a wine bottle at the NYPD vehicle as it sat parked near the corner of Seventh Ave. and W. 36th St. around 8:30 a.m.
The bottle shattered the car’s rear windshield, police said.
Camara was arrested and charged with criminal mischief.
While in custody, investigators determined Camara was responsible for busting up three other NYPD vehicles parked in the vicinity of Herald Square over the past week. according to cops.
On Dec. 11, he allegedly threw an unknown object through the rear windshield of a cop car parked on Broadway near W. 35th St. around 10 p.m.
A short time later, he broke the passenger’s side window of a traffic enforcement vehicle parked on W. 36th St. and Seventh Ave.
On Dec. 13. he used a chair to bust out the rear windshield of a police car on Broadway and W. 37th St., cops said.
Camara was charged with four counts of criminal mischief.
