The collision occurred in Chippewa County in the Upper Peninsula.
CHIPPEWA COUNTY, MI – A Rudyard man died of his injuries after police say his vehicle left the road and struck a parked horse trailer.
The victim was identified as Robert Aaron Roy, 52, according to WLUC .
The collision happened about 11:30 p.m. Friday on Pea Line Road in Chippewa County’s Pickford Township, the station reported.
Authorities later said Roy’s vehicle had left the roadway near 23 Mile Road and struck the horse trailer. There were no horses in the trailer when it was struck, the sheriff’s department told MLive.
Roy was taken to War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie, where he died of his injuries.
