Teen charged with helping gunman in Raeford slaying get out of NC

An 18-year-old has been charged as an accessory to a shooting death in Raeford last year, authorities said Thursday.
Raeford, N. C. — An 18-year-old has been charged as an accessory to a shooting death in Raeford last year, authorities said Thursday.
Paul Anthony Coleman, of 6107 Stonegate Drive in Raeford, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of accessory after the fact of a homicide. He was being held in the Hoke County jail under a $350,000 bond.
A’Shadontae Baker, 19, was found shot in the head at 105 Lasso Lane on April 2,2016.
Two months later, Jordache Nebeh’yis Baldwin-Leach, then 16, was arrested in Rochester, N.Y., and charged with first-degree murder, first-degree burglary and robbery with a dangerous weapon in connection with Baker’s death.
Hoke County Sheriff’s Office investigators now say that Coleman helped Baldwin-Leach flee after the shooting and took him to New York.
