Bo Scarbrough would like everyone to listen again to his curse.
The Alabama running back was identified as screaming, “F–k Trump” before walking onto the field for Monday night’s national title game, with the president in attendance.
In damage control after the Crimson Tide’s stunning 26-23 overtime comeback win, Scarbrough claimed he wasn’t directing his pregame rage at the president.
“If y’all really listen I said Georgia smh about y’all people in this world,” Scarbrough, who rushed for 23 yards on four carries, wrote on Twitter .
“I’m just trying to celebrate the win,” Scarbrough told al.com . “Those type of words didn’t come out of my mouth.”
Trump attended the game and was mostly cheered as he walked on the field, making his own political statement by standing with his hand over his heart as the national anthem played. He left at halftime, missing Alabama’s second-half rally and overtime triumph.
