Authorities identified the suspect as Margarito Vargas-Rosas, an illegal immigrant who had previously been deported to Mexico.
A passenger called 911 at around 9:50 p.m. Friday to say that someone on the bus was threatening to kill people.
The suspect told passengers “he was going to put a bullet in our head,” Patrick Todd, who was on the bus, told CBS 2 in Chicago .
