Samsung Galaxy S9 looks the business in final, massive leak before launch
We’re merely hours away from the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S9, and we’ve been treated to yet another leak – but this one is massive.
Essentially, Samsung has reportedly put up a three minute video (which has since been taken down, but reuploaded by Slashleaks) that shows the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus in all their glory.
The handsets are shown with the new ‘The Phone. Reimagined’ tagline, a spin on the camera slogan that’s been doing the official rounds from Samsung already.
It’s feasible that this is a hoax, but not only does it dovetail with all we’ve heard, it’s an incredibly strong – and long – effort at duping the world just hours before launch.
The video shows primarily the business capabilities of the phone, talking about the new Knox security, an Android Enterprise Edition of the phone and extolling the virtues of the dual-screen multi-tasking. DeX yourself before you wreck yourself
The new DeX pad, which we’ve heard rumors of previously, makes an appearance, and it seems the claims that you can use this as a keyboard or a trackpad to control the PC-like experience are true.
The dual-sensor camera of the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus is highlighted, as well as the water-resistant capabilities of the handset… so you can keep working in the rain, the thing that (presumably) holds back a good 15% of the workforce.
There’s also a lot shown off about the Intelligent Scan facial recognition, the phone’s capabilities for AR (with it being opened up for new apps to be developed for it) and the ability to scan and translate words on the go.
In fact, when we get our hands on the Samsung Galaxy S9 for a preview, we’re pretty sure we’re not going to have much to write, such are the leaks.
Anyway, we’ll still attend the launch tomorrow – but we’re not expecting too many surprises any more…
