The life and tragic death of “Fast & Furious” star Paul Walker is headed to the small screen.
“I Am Paul Walker” will premiere on Paramount Network this summer, nearly five years after the actor died at 40 in a car accident.
The documentary will feature interviews with Walker’s closest cast mates and friends, and will explore both his film career and his lesser-known passions, like helping marine life and various philanthropy projects.
Derik Murray will helm the film, the latest in his “I Am” documentary series. He previously directed documentaries on John F. Kennedy Jr., Muhammad Ali and Heath Ledger.
His latest, “I Am MLK Jr.,” is slated to debut April 2.
Walker died in November 2013 after the car he was riding in crashed into a concrete lamp post and two trees and caught fire. His friend, Roger Rodas, was speeding at the time and also died in the accident.
Walker was in the middle of filming “Furious 7” when he died, and left behind a daughter, Meadow.
