Five people died in an accident on Long Island Wednesday morning, according to a fire source.
Two cars and a home heating oil truck were involved in the 11:20 a.m. crash at Woodlot Road and Middle Country Road in Ridge, sources said. One of the cars caught fire after the crash.
The driver of the oil truck was taken to a local hospital, a source said.
Photos of the wreckage show large pieces of one car — including a tire — strewn across the road.
Route 25 has been closed between Wading River Hollow Road and Smith Road, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
