A flurry social media posts wished Schwarzenegger a speedy recovery and brought back his iconic line into the socialsphere.
PALM SPRINGS, Calif. — Former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is in stable condition after undergoing heart surgery Thursday, according his spokesman.
When he woke up from the surgery, his first words were, «I’m back,» spokesman Daniel Ketchell tweeted.
The planned procedure at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles was to replace a pulmonary valve that «wasn’t meant to be permanent» and was originally replaced in 1997 for a congenital heart defect, Ketchell said in an earlier statement.
The news was first reported by online site TMZ.
As soon as the news hit the socialsphere, a flurry of tweets and social media posts wished Schwarzenegger a speedy recovery, including some health advice from Dr. Mehmet Oz.
People couldn’t leave out the fact that the former governor was also a former Mr. Olympia.
And, of course, tweeters couldn’t resist the famous quote Schwarzenegger coined in The Terminator: «I’ll be back.»
