According to the study, hiring in the segment increased by 29% in 2017, the highest increase in recent years, and nearly 2 percentage points more than the year 2016.
It further adds that the biggest increases in hiring and the highest salary increments in India’s technology space are now happening in the engineering and R&D arms of MNCs.
The niche tech skills like cloud, analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, internet-of-things, and robotics are in huge demand. These are forcing GICs to enhance their engineering strengths.
