A 6-year-old girl is recovering at the hospital after being hit by a car Wednesday morning.
A news release from Warner Robins Police says officers responded to a call at the intersection of Featherstone Drive and Stoneridge Drive around 8 a.m.
At the scene, they found a child had been hit by a car.
The release says their investigation shows that the child stepped into oncoming traffic and was hit by a Kia Optima.
The child was speaking to first responders on the way to Houston Medical Center.
The incident is still under investigation.
