Detroit Lions selected Louisiana-Lafayette safety Tracy Walker with the 18th pick in the third round (No. 82 overall) in the 2018 NFL draft Friday night.
A senior, Walker is 6 feet 1 and 206 pounds. He is from Brunswick, Ga. He ran a 4.51 40-yard dash in the 2018 NFL scouting combine.
Earlier in the night in Round 2, the Lions traded up eight spots with the New England Patriots to select Auburn running back Kerryon Johnson .
On Thursday in Round 1, the Lions added to their offensive line with Arkansas center Frank Ragnow .
