Aretha Franklin ’s concert set for June 28 during the Toronto Jazz Festival has been canceled, with festival representatives saying she has “been ordered not to perform in the coming months,” reports the Toronto Star. The June date was rescheduled nearly a year from its original festival date in 2017.
This show is the third performance that has been canceled this year: her birthday performance at Newark’s New Jersey Performing Arts Center on March 25 and an appearance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 28.
The Rock — er, sorry, Dwayne Johnson — opens up about his clash with his “Fast and the Furious” co-star Vin Diesel in the new issue of Rolling Stone, which features the actor on the cover. “Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer,” Johnson tells the mag. “And what I came to realize is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach moviemaking and collaborating. It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not.” As to whether or not that means he’ll be back in the next “Fast and Furious” movie, “I’m not quite sure,” he says. “Right now I’m concentrating on making the spinoff as good as it can be. But I wish him all the best, and I harbor no ill will there, just because of the clarity we have.” He then clarified his statement. “Actually, you can erase that last part about ‘no ill will.’ We’ll just keep it with the clarity.”
“Big Bang Theory” star Kaley Cuoco is opening up about her upcoming wedding — her second, following her 2015 split with Ryan Sweeting . “I honestly thought I wouldn’t get married again,” she says. “My ex ruined that word for me. I married someone the first time who completely changed. The person I ended up with was not the person I originally met… And that wasn’t my fault — that was his. I knew how much I had to give and how much I wanted to receive. I knew I just had to be patient… I had to go through a lot of things, but it brought me to Karl.” Cuoco and equestrian Karl Cook announced their engagement in November.
