In a series of vague, angry messages, an apparently former Michigan player appeared to threaten coach Jim Harbaugh.
Elysee Mbem-Bosse, who played in one game in 2016 and was on the roster last year as a sophomore, deleted the messages quickly, but they were screen-grabbed on Twitter and on Reddit’s college football page .
At one point in the rant by the 6-foot-3,232-pound linebacker from Georgia, Mbem-Bosse tagged Harbaugh’s Twitter account.
“Michigan is open carry. Let’s not forget. Not your friend,” Mbem-Bosse wrote, without tagging anyone. The messages bounce around so much, it was unclear whether it was meant to be part of a direct-message conversation.
Mbem-Bosse was angry about an apparent suspension that Harbaugh had given him. In one message, Mbem-Bosse showed what appears to be the school informing him he was suspended on Nov. 16.
“Within hours of my family crisis,” he wrote. “F–K YOU. GN [Good night]. It’s on tomorrow.”
“Going go have your [clowns] say i lost my mind? MF REALLY?”
In another message, he tagged the Michigan coach: “And was suspended for going to take care of my family. You f–king [clown],”
Michigan has not commented on Mbem-Bosse’s rant. He is not listed on Michigan’s roster.
