The latest trend in the mobile industry will be carried over to Google’s next smartphone, the Google Pixel 3 XL, according to a set of hands-on images.
Two images of what’s believed to be an early prototype of the upcoming Google Pixel 3 XL surfaced on the XDA-Developers Forums earlier this week, showcasing a unit that looks an awful lot like the current Google Pixel 2 XL, with one main difference: there’s a small cut-out – dubbed a ‘notch’ – at the top of the screen.
It’s worth noting, however, that this design is far from final. Notice how Google’s trademark ‘G’ logo has been replaced with a different emblem on the rear of the device? That’s reportedly used to designate that the unit in question is non-final prototype hardware, so it’s possible Big G is also toying with a unit that’s missing the notch.
