The immigration debate reached a boiling point Tuesday night when President Trump’s former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski mocked a 10-year-old girl with Down syndrome.
During a Fox News Channel panel, Democratic strategist Zac Petkanas described how this girl was taken away from her mom at the border — prompting Lewandowski to make a sad trombone sound: “Whuh, whuh.”
Lewandowski’s response sent Petkanas into a rage.
”Did you just say `whuh whuh’ to a 10-year-old with Down syndrome?” Petkanas said.
When Lewandowski tried to defend himself, Petkanas started yelling.
“We have infants that are taken from their mothers, we have infants that are being stolen from their mothers and put into cages and you go ‘whuh, whuh?’ ” Petkanas raged. “How dare you, sir? How dare you? How absolutely dare you sir!”
The two then shouted over each other.
