The Microsoft Store in Windows 10 is reportedly going to get an updated set of features soon, including a Wish List, remote app installation, and a revamped navigation panel for easier filtering.
Earlier this month, we saw some evidence that Microsoft was working on bringing remote app installation to Windows 10’s app store website, a quality-of-life feature that the company had already made available years ago on Windows phones.
Now, it seems that the addition was simply one part of a larger set of updates that Microsoft is currently said to be testing for the Microsoft Store. The folks at Windows Latest have discovered that Microsoft is currently A/B testing various features aimed at making the Store slightly more appealing.
Alongside the aforementioned remote app installations on the Store website, you will soon be able to do the same from within the Microsoft Store on Windows 10 itself, and install apps on all of your devices with a single click.
The company is also testing a cart and a Wish List feature that would allow you to save any of the apps, games, hardware and media found in the Store for your perusal at a later date. There is, unfortunately, no means of sharing Wish Lists with others as of yet, though one would hope Microsoft is working on it.
Improving the look and feel of the Store is also high on Microsoft’s priorities, with some UI improvements to the homepage and also a revamped navigation that will let you pick one of the sub-categories of content you’re looking for directly from the Store header.
