An earthquake shook Gunma Prefecture, north of Tokyo, on Sunday afternoon. No major damage has been reported.
An earthquake shook Gunma Prefecture, north of Tokyo, on Sunday afternoon. No major damage has been reported.
The tremor was felt around 3:27 PM, local time. Officials with the Japan Meteorological Agency estimate the quake had a magnitude of 4.6. They say the epicenter is the southern part of Gunma Prefecture and the depth is 14 kilometers. The officials say the quake had an intensity of 5 minus on the Japanese scale of 0 to 7 in Shibukawa City and 4 in the surrounding areas.
