Bethesda finally revealed The Elder Scrolls 6 in a short teaser trailer at the E3. The teaser trailer was only 36 seconds long but we have gathered all the information that we have about the game and compiled it here for you in this article.
People were waiting for a long time for any confirmed news about the next Elder Scrolls game and Bethesda finally gave us a short teaser confirming that the developer is indeed busy working on the next title in the franchise. If you have not seen the teaser trailer, you can check it out below:
As you can see that the teaser trailer is very short and it hardly tells us anything about the game. It shows just some mountains, a possible desert setting with a castle in it. Apart from that, there is no further information in the trailer whatsoever.
We have no idea where the game will be set but the trailer shows some mountains, lush green areas, and a giant coastline. It means that the world will be diverse and players will be able to experience different settings in the same world.
There is also a castle in the teaser trailer, which could be an important structure in the game.
We are also looking forward to the prospect that the next Elder Scrolls game will be fully supported by VR headsets. Skyrim received VR updates, which totally changed the way that players were able to interact with the world. It would be a shame if the next title does not include this feature right from the box.
The developers did not tell anything about the release date of the game as well. Neither does the trailer has anything that could possibly give a hint about the game’s release date. During the E3 conference, Tom Howard said that The Elder Scrolls 6 is going to be a next-gen game and it will come after Starfield.
This shows that the game is still a long way from launch and since they have mentioned the game to be a next-gen title and it will come after Starfield, we can at least expect the game to come in the time frame of 2020-2021. This is however just our guess and it all depends on when the next-gen consoles are going to launch.
This is the first time that Bethesda has shown such long time projects which are not even expected in the next two years minimum. Both Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6 teaser trailers were very brief and they hardly showed anything about their respective games.
We currently do not know that Bethesda is currently actively working on the title or they have just shown it to the public so that they can be content that a new Elder Scrolls game is on its way because the last game was launched in 2011.
This means that the current generation of consoles will be without an Elder Scrolls game if The Elder Scrolls 6 is a next-gen game. None of the game giants has announced anything about a new potential next-gen console at this E3 so we are expecting that they might show their new devices at the next E3.
This means that we will have to wait a long time before we can go on our next Elder Scrolls adventure. The current teaser trailer is only for the confirmation and fan’s satisfaction that they are indeed looking forward to continuing with the franchise and will launch another title in future.
It is too early to make assumptions about the game especially when the developers are being super-secret about the game as well. We are hoping that we get to know more information about the game soon because the teaser trailer hardly showed anything about the game.
We would love to see some actual gameplay footage or some sort of a game trailer that shows actual game in action. We hope that all the time that Bethesda is taking to develop the next game is worth it and the next title in the franchise is the best one so far.
