Chinese internet company Xiaomi has launched a Mi Band 2 charging cable that can be used for charging both Mi Band 2 and Mi Band-HRX Edition.
Chinese internet company Xiaomi has launched a Mi Band 2 charging cable that can be used for charging both Mi Band 2 and Mi Band-HRX Edition. Priced at Rs 129, this cable will be available starting midnight on Mi.com.
The company has been aggressively launching handsets in India in the budget segment. The latest offering was a selfie-centric smartphone called the Redmi Y2. The USP of the device is its 16-megapixel front camera with auto-HDR and AI Beautify 4.0 feature. The front camera is also capable of capturing the portrait mode. On the back, there is a dual camera setup of 12MP and 5MP sensors with LED flash.
The Xiaomi Redmi Y2 handset features a 5.99-inch HD+ screen 1440x720p resolution with 269ppi. It runs on Android Oreo with a layer of company’s MIUI 9.5, making it the first device to run on this Oreo operating system out-of-the-box. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone is also backed by a 3,080mAh battery and offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.
This year, the company also ventured into a new consumer electronics category altogether with launch of Mi Led Smart TV 4. Originally priced at Rs 39,999, it was recently priced at Rs 44,999.
It measures 4.9mm and is being claimed as the thinnest television in the world. At its thickest point, the TV is 48mm thick. The weight of the TV without including the base is 17.2kg.
In May, the company also launched two new Internet services – Mi Music and Mi Video — as a big step forward in “building a true Internet company.”
The Mi Music app will have content powered by Hungama and will have on offer over 10 million tracks free for its users. As for Mi Video, it was till now available in offline mode but now will have an online mode as well. The app will give the users an option to cast content on a smart TV and comes with the support of 15 Indic languages.
