New Android tablet models seem to pick up on pace as lately, more and more new devices pop up from smaller Chinese manufacturers. On behalf of the big names, only Huawei and Samsung seem to still work on it and the Galaxy Tab S4 is the next big thing expected by users on the high-end segment. Samsung tablets are the biggest rival of the iPad offering great performance and beautiful AMOLED displays. But while there is no word for Samsung’s next model yet, Aldocube is making their move with Aldocube X, a tablet with a 10.5″ Samsung AMOLED 2560×1600 display. Offering wide color gamut and High Dynamic Range that meet the DCI-P3 standard, AMOLED displays provide users with an exceptional movie viewing experience as well as true Black. Of course, there is a big performance difference between the Tab S Series and the X but in terms of display, they could be comparable and the Aldocube is expected to be much cheaper too.
So, this is a big surprise since all Chinese tablets have been using LCD panels until now. Other than that, the X will be featuring the MT8176 six-core SoC together with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The specific SoC is capable of playing 4K video smoothly that can be stored on the up to 128GB microSD card supported. In addition, Alldocube X uses AKM HiFi sound chip to get an immersive experience when wearing headphones and fingerprint sensor to better protect your privacy.
What’s more, Alldocube X boasts a meticulously crafted design that measures at just 245 * 175 * 6.9mm, almost the same as the iPad Pro 10.5″. Also, thanks to its 8000mAh battery it can support up to 72 hours of standby and almost 6 hours of heavy use, enough to take you through the day but not long enough as the best in this department (iPad). But the company has added MTK PE+ support for quick charging and a charging algorithm that allows the battery to retain 85% of its capacity even after 1000 charging cycles.
There is no information on when it will hit the market but we already know that it will be a crowdfunded project via Indiegogo. If you subscribe now, you can get 26% off the super-early discount when it launches on Indiegogo.
