ASHEVILLE, NC – A woman from Alma was killed last week after she was thrown from a motorcycle during a crash in North Carolina.
Theoroda Sikora, 55, was riding on a motorcycle and was eastbound on Interstate 240 in Asheville at about 3:30 p.m. on Friday, July 20, when the driver of the motorcycle lost control, according to a statement from the Asheville Police Department.
Sikora was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene, police said.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to the statement.
The crash remains under investigation and no other information was released.
