New details are coming out following Demi Lovato’s terrifying overdose this week.
The pop star was reportedly found unconscious in her bed before noon on Tuesday after she’d been out partying all night celebrating her backup dancer’s birthday. (RELATED: REPORT: Demi Lovato Partied Hard All Night Long Before Overdose)
Lovato, 25, brought some friends back to her home in Hollywood Hills to keep the party going all night long. She went to bed late the next morning, which is when things took a nasty turn. (RELATED: Demi Lovato May Have Used Methamphetamine When She Overdosed)
“It’s unclear how long the party lasted, but Demi went to sleep and, at around 11 a.m. Tuesday, one of her assistants became concerned because Demi hadn’t come out of her bedroom,” TMZ reports. “The assistant entered the room and found Demi unresponsive, tried waking her, and when she couldn’t… she called 911.”
By the time paramedics arrived — right around noon — Demi was still unconscious. They gave her Narcan, an anti-opioid treatment, and rushed her to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA.
She refused to tell them what she’d overdosed on, but EMTs say they found drug paraphernalia in her house.
Demi reportedly plans to check into rehab as soon as she is released from the hospital.
