Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 9 is all set to make its global debut on August 9th at its ‘Unpacked’ event scheduled in New York. The smartphone was recently spotted on Geekbench, TENAA and Indonesia-based certification authority P3DN. Now, the handset has popped up on Brazil’s National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL) certification website, confirming that it will come with a beefy 4,000mAh battery. The various listings in different countries hint that the brand might launch the Galaxy Note 9 globally at the same time.
According to the previous rumours, the Galaxy Note 9 was tipped to come with a larger battery compared to its predecessor. This new listing on Brazil’s certification website comes as an official confirmation of the battery capacity, which is 4,000mAh. However, the document doesn’t reveal much about the other aspect of the smartphone. Though we do have a rundown on the spec sheet of the upcoming flagship, thanks to the previous leaks. The smartphone is expected to come sporting a 6.4-inch display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio and thinner than ever bezels.
On the performance front, the handset is expected to be powered by the top tier Snapdragon 845 for the US and Exynos 9810 SoC for other markets. The chipset will be backed by 6GB of RAM and three storage configurations – 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. There are rumours that the smartphone will come with an improved S-Pen stylus with wireless connectivity, which will make it a standalone accessory. In the imaging department, the smartphone is expected to come with the same pair of 12-megapixel shooters on the back with variable aperture, as Galaxy S9 ( review) and S9+ ( review).
The brand is also expected to launch Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Tab 8.0 (2018), alongside Galaxy Note 9 at the Unpacked event. We will have more details in the coming days, so stay tuned to 91mobiles.
