Forza Horizon 4 could be set to feature a crossover with the Halo franchise, with Master Chief, a Warthog, and a battlecruiser all appearing in a unique track based on the sci-fi series.
Forza Horizon 4 could be set to feature a crossover with the Halo franchise, with a leaked screenshot reportedly taken from the upcoming game featuring both the Warthog and a CCS-class battlecruiser. Though the screenshot has yet to be confirmed as official, they were included as part of a larger image dump that contained further screenshots from the game, indicating that it could well be the real deal.
The image shows a Warthog, the off-road vehicle used throughout the Halo series, seemingly being commandeered by Master Chief, with the Halo protagonist’s helmet visible in its driver’s seat. A battlecruiser can be seen looming in the distance, while the familiar Halo ring also stretches across the game’s skybox. If this image is official, then it appears that Forza Horizon 4 will feature a track that transports players to the Halo universe.

This isn’t the first time that a Halo crossover has been teased in Forza Horizon 4. Back in July, a livestream showcasing the racing game’s Seasons mode appeared to show an image of a Pelican on the game’s map, indicating that the dropship would appear in a special Showcase event. Given the nature of Showcase events, where cars take on planes, boats, or other unusual vehicles in dynamic races through Horizon ‘s open-world, it seems likely that players will get the chance to face off against the Pelican in a race to the finish line. This screenshot also suggests that the race could take place on a track outside of Forza Horizon 4 ‘s Scottish setting.
If Forza Horizon 4 is set to feature a crossover with Halo, it wouldn’t be the first time that a Forza game has borrowed from its fellow Xbox exclusive series. The Halo Warthog already appeared in Forza Horizon 3, with it having debuted as a playable vehicle back in 2011 as an unlockable in Forza Motorsport 4. It isn’t clear if the Warthog will be available in the base game this time around, or if it will be included as DLC.
Forza Horizon 4 will be released on Xbox One and Windows 10 on October 2nd, 2018.
