Lenovo added a new laptop to its gaming-centric Legion series. Dubbed as the Legion Y530, the laptop flaunts a near-bezel-less display and dual-channel cooling

Lenovo today, at an event in IFA 2018 added a new laptop to its gaming-centric Legion series. Dubbed as the Legion Y530, the laptop is said to feature 62 percent thinner bezels compared to previous laptops and a white-backlit keyboard. It further sports a “dual -channel cooling system” to thermally optimise the laptop’s performance during intense gaming.
Coming to the specifications, the Lenovo Legion Y530 sports a 15.6-inch IPS panel with a refresh rate of 144Hz and narrow bezels on three sides. At its core lies an 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8750H or an Intel Core i5-8300H processor, coupled with up to 32GB RAM and up to 512GB PCIe SSD and 2TB HDD storage. For graphics, the laptop gives you the option to choose from a GeForce GTX 1050,1050 Ti, and a GeForce GTX 1060.
The laptop speakers are powered by Dolby Atmos, and at the software front, it boots Windows 10 Home out of the box. Connectivity options include LAN, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, USB 3.1 Type-A, USB Type-C, Mini DisplayPort, HDMI 2.0, RJ45, DC-in, Audio Jack, and Kensington Lock. A 52.5WHr battery rounds up the specs sheet of the Legion Y530 laptop.
The Legion Y530 will start selling in the EMEA from October with a starting price of €1,399 (roughly Rs. 1,16,000). At the event, Lenovo has also introduced a couple of gaming PCs called the Legion T730 and C730. Both come with a processor choices of up to 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8700K and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 graphics. The prices of these PCs start at €1,999 (around Rs. 1,65,000).
