It’s been a full week since Microsoft released Windows 10 Insider Preview build 17746 to the Fast ring, a long time considering that we’ve been seeing new builds at a pace of two per week. But today, the company released build 17751.1 to the Fast ring.
Just as you’d expect at this point, there are no new front-facing features. Instead, the build focuses on fixes and improvements. Here’s what got fixed and improved in Windows 10 build 17751:
Here are the known issues:
The most notable improvement is that the watermark is gone, something that happens as we near the end of a development cycle. Microsoft also announced earlier today that this will be called the Windows 10 October 2018 Update, so obviously Redstone 5 will arrive to the general public in October. Insiders should see the RTM build in September, as the 1809 version number indicates.
If you’re on the Fast ring, you can install today’s build by going to Settings -> Update & security -> Windows Update -> Check for updates. If not, you can enroll by going to the Windows Insider Program tab.
