Two cars were racing at about 10:50 a.m. Aug. 22, heading eastbound on Ecorse Road in Ypsilanti Township when one of the vehicles lost control and hit a passing vehicle near S. Harris Road, killing the vehicle’s lone occupant, Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Derrick Jackson said.
