The Motorola One and Motorola One Power are notched Android One phones and one of them will be coming to India soon.
For months now we have been hearing about the Motorola One and Motorola One phones from Motorola. On Friday, the company finally made the phones official and they pretty much keep in line with what past renders, leaked specs and certification sites have told us. Specs and design aside, the biggest highlight here is that Motorola has finally decided to get on board with the Android One program, something fans had hoped for a while and only got a glimpse of it with the Moto X4. Of the two new phones, Motorola has confirmed that the Motorola One Power will come to in India in October.
As expected, the Motorola One and Motorola One Power are both Android One phones, and the company is happy to announce that they will bring stock Android experience with a promise of security updates for three years and a smarter camera app with Google Lens baked in. The company also promises two major Android updates, the first of which being Android 9 Pie, which will be released soon after the phones are launched. This is a pretty fantastic news for Motorola fans who have been disappointed with Motorola’s poor software support.
Both the Motorola One phones come with a notch similar to the Motorola P30 that was recently announced in China. The Motorola One brings a curved glass body and a 5.9-inch HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Snapdragon 625 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with support for expandability up to 256GB via microSD card.
For cameras, the Motorola One gets a 13-megapixel dual camera system on the back and an 8-megapixel sensor on the front. It houses a 3,500mAh battery with TurboPower support that will give you 6 hours of power in 20 minutes of charge. The device comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint support, USB Type-C support and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Motorola has priced the device at 299 euros (approx Rs 24,700) and will be available in Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific in the coming months.
The Motorola One Power will be coming to India in October and the company hasn’t revealed its pricing details just yet. The device is bigger and more powerful compared to the Motorola One. It sports a tall 6.2-inch FHD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It gets a Snapdragon 636 chipset which is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with support for expandability.
The camera configuration is also a notch above the Motorola One. It bears a 16MP + 5MP setup on the back and a 12-megapixel sensor on the front. It houses a larger 4,850mAh battery with TurboPower support. Like the Motorola One, the One Power also gets a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C support and a headphone jack.
