To celebrate Celebi’s Special Research quest in Pokemon GO, the developer Niantic adds gear related to the Mythical Psychic- and Grass-type to the game’s Style Shop.
Just recently, Niantic confirmed when players can begin their Special Research towards earning a Celebi encounter after the new chain of quests becomes available in the wildly popular mobile augmented reality game, Pokemon GO. In order to further celebrate the Mythical Psychic- and Grass-type’s special research quest in the ARG, the developer has decided to add gear related to Celebi to the title.
According to Niantic, there is a brand new Celebi T-shirt which is available for free in Pokemon GO‘s Style Shop. There are also Pokemon HeartGold and Pokemon SoulSilver Trainer avatar items that can be procured through the shop as well. These particular outfits for Trainer avatars (excluding the Celebi T-shirt) will officially be unlocked to players according to one’s Johto medal progress in the game.
Without a doubt, the addition of the Celebi Special Research quest and all of the new gear in the Style Shop will keep Pokemon GO players engaged with the augmented reality game for quite a bit, as Niantic seems to now have a solid schedule in place as far as fresh content is concerned. For instance, the developer has also already revealed the Community Day dates for the next three months, indicating that it has lots more in store for 2018.
Taking all of this into consideration, Pokemon GO ‘s evolution into a game with a sumptuous amount of features definitely makes it look and play a lot differently than at launch back in the summer of 2016, as Niantic had been working the bugs and kinks out of the whole system then. Now, though, with the developer having added such exciting features as Celebi’s Special Research quest, Alolan forms of Pokemon, and much more, PoGO is definitely a far cry from the somewhat disappointing product that initially rolled out for fans a couple of years ago.
Pokemon GO is available now for Android and iOS devices.
