The video game developer Bungie officially reveals all of the patch notes for Destiny 2’s latest expansion, Forsaken, which goes live for Guardians to play today.
The wait is finally over, as Destiny 2‘s highly anticipated expansion, Forsaken, has gone live, giving Guardians the chance to embark on an adventure to hunt down Uldren Sov and avenge the death of one of the action-RPG’s most memorable characters, Cayde-6. Now, Bungie has decided to bring players up to speed by giving a complete breakdown of what the game’s update version 2.0.0.1 includes, and detailing Forsaken’s full patch notes.
As indicated by the update’s 7 GB size, Destiny 2‘s most recent expansion has quite a lengthy amount of patch notes, and of course, much of the content and changes will be new additions that tie into the arrival of Forsaken. The update unearths a slew of different features, such as the level cap being increased to 50, Year 2 weapons receiving random perks, and much more. Destiny 2‘s Forsaken update also adds a Vanguard Strike playlist that will have a different Power level recommendation based on Guardians’ current Power, and Nightfalls have been given scoring once more. When it comes to the Crucible, Iron Banner will incorporate Power level advantages upon its return in later this month, while Trials of the Nine fans will be disappointed to learn that it has been put on hiatus.
Of course, Destiny 2‘s Forsaken update also brings about some balance changes for certain abilities such as Titans’ Magnetic Grenades now detonating a second time even if the first blast kills the intended target. Exotics also get some adjustments, too, with one example being Riskrunner’s magazine size getting buffed. Additionally, Masterworks and shaders now operate differently, rewards and challenges have been changed, and there are new bounties and challenges for players to take on each day or week.
Finally, Update 2.0.0.1 brings about various quality-of-life changes as well, with one of the more significant alterations being Guardians’ ability to finally dismantle shaders in bulk by talking to the Cryptarch of the Tower, Master Rahool.
