Codemasters’ 2015 hit Dirt Rally will get a sequel, Dirt Rally 2.0, on Feb. 26,2019, for PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
Dirt Rally 2.0 is coming next year from Codemasters, following up its much-loved, World Rallycross-licensed off-road racer from 2015 with more intense driving, unforgiving real-life courses, and punishing weather.
Dirt Rally 2.0 will launch Feb. 26,2019, for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One, Codemasters announced today. This series is a harder-core take on real-life rally racing as opposed to 2017’s (outstanding) Dirt 4, which took a broader view with procedurally generated courses, nonstandard events and a minimum of licensing.
This game will feature eight official World Rallycross tracks in addition to racing locations from New Zealand and Australia to Argentina and the United States. Codemasters also promised “a new authentic handling model, tyre choice and surface deformation.” A single-player career mode will be offered along with the traditional events, championships and online competitions.
Dirt Rally was the first off-road game by Codemasters for the newest console generation. It was widely praised for its handling and terrain fidelity.
