Everything you need to get yourself signed up and ready for the Red Dead Online beta.
As we get closer to the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, developer Rockstar Games has confirmed the multiplayer online version of the Wild West shooter will go live shortly after launch.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released October 26, with the Red Dead Online beta going live the following month in November. An exact date is yet to be nailed down.
This follows the same process as GTA Online, which went live just over a month after the release of GTA 5.
The good news is that the Red Dead Online beta is public and open to all. This means there’s no closed beta, no limits to who can join or when. The Red Dead Online beta is open to PS4 and Xbox One players who own Red Dead Redemption 2.
As it’s a beta, Rockstar Games has warned to expect hiccups during launch and beyond. It also hopes to work with the Red Dead Online beta community to improve the service after launch and help create content.
If you need more Red Dead Redemption 2, we’ve got the lowdown on the gameplay, story, characters and special editions so you can brace yourselves for release.
